What are your hobbies?
Ummm, I do ministry.
Ok but what do you do in your spare time?
Ummm, I am a mom and a wife.
Carey Nieuwhof wrote, “If you can’t answer the question “what’s your hobby” in 3 seconds or less, you probably don’t have one. Far too many leaders have no hobbies and no life outside of work. And that’s a cost not worth paying.”
I had no hobby. I was paying too high a price.
Are you a Ministry Leader, Mom, Wife? Go ahead tell me what is your hobby?

It is ok, I did not have one either.
So, do you want to know what I did? I joined a running club. I cannot really run, it is more like a jog, but it is a club and I go two times a week and I gather with people who also run, and we run.
It is a hobby.
Then one day when I was scrolling on Instagram, which is not a hobby, I saw a reel of a girl doing a watercolor painting. So, I got my youngest’s Crayola paints and started painting. I then went to the craft store and bought $30 worth of supplies.
It is a hobby.
So, what are my two hobbies?

Running and Painting…. oh, and I am a plant mom!
Friends, let me help you. NEVER give so much of yourself away, to anything that you lose yourself. You can still be a great mom, wife, or Minister and still have an identity, a life, and even a hobby!

· Try something that scares you. Don't do what is easy.

· Take pictures and have fun. Laugh at yourself. I do, I am slow and paint like a child, but I still have fun!
